Congress fall is not good for democracy: Shiv Sena

New Delhi: The reaction of other parties to the BJP’s victory in the Gujarat Municipal Corporation elections has begun. BJP has won all the 6 municipal corporations. The Congress has suffered a crushing defeat.

Reacting to this, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that, if the AAP is elected in Surat, then the Congress will have to think and we all have to think. A party like Congress has been ruled out by Gujarat and other states, the fall of Congress in this way is not good for democracy. The Congress government came to power in Puducherry and Madhya Pradesh.

At the same time, the Shiv Sena has targeted the Modi government, accusing it of toppling the government in Puducherry. In an editorial in the party mouthpiece Saamana, the Shiv Sena wrote that Kiran Bedi, who was the Lt. Governor in Puducherry, did not allow the Narayansamy government to function properly. The BJP also pulled out a small state from the Congress. The Shiv Sena said that the BJP will now launch ‘Operation Lotus’ in Maharashtra in March-April.
