Central government indifferent to inflation control: Mayawati

Lucknow: Expressing concern over the rising prices of petrol and diesel, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati alleged that the central government is not making any effort to check inflation.

Ms. Mayawati tweeted, “On one hand due to Corona outbreak, due to all kinds of severe blows and on the other hand, due to the ever-increasing price of petrol and diesel etc., the inflation of essential commodities is also touching the sky, which has made people’s lives sad and stricken. Still, the central and state governments are not paying attention to this, very sad.

She said that in many states of the country, the news of resentment among the people is constantly in the media headlines due to the price of petrol and diesel reaching around Rs 100. Like making it justified by reducing GST tax on corona treatment equipment etc., the government should also focus on reducing inflation.
