Cabinet expansion: 28 Ministers join Shivraj’s team including nine loyalists of Jyotiraditya Scindia

Bhopal: 28 new ministers joined the Shivraj Singh Chauhan cabinet in Madhya Pradesh today. The Governor-in-charge Anandiben Patel administered the oath of office and secrecy at Bhopal’s Raj Bhavan. In this, 20 people took the oath of cabinet and 8 took the oath of state, including nine loyalists of Jyotiraditya Scindia.

When Shivraj Singh Chauhan was sworn in as Chief Minister on March 23, after the Congress’s Kamal Nath government fell, few ministers were inducted into the cabinet.

Today a total of 28 ministers were sworn in, including 20 cabinet ministers, 8 ministers of state. Among them were several big leaders including Gopal Bhargava, Vijay Shah, Yashodhara Raje Scindia. In such a situation, this is the first cabinet expansion after the formation of the new government, in which Jyotiraditya Scindia’s supporters got a place in the BJP from the Congress. Jyotiraditya Scindia himself was also present at the oath taking.

The leaders who took the oath of office on Thursday include Gopal Bhargava, Vijay Shah, Jagdish Deora, Malhargarh, Bisahu Lal Singh, Mrs. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Bhupendra Singh, Andal Singh Kansana, Vijendra Pratap Singh, Vishwas Sarang, Imrati Devi, Praburam Chaudhary, Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Prem Singh Patel, OP Saklecha, Usha Thakur, Arvind Bhadoria, Mohan Yadav, Hardeep Singh Dung, Rajyavardhan Singh Dattigaon. All of them have been sworn in as cabinet ministers. Apart from these, Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Inder Singh Parmar, Ramkhilavan Patel, Ramkishore Kanvere, Brijendra Singh Yadav, Girraj Dandotia, Suresh Dhakad and OP Bhadoria have also been sworn in as ministers of state.
