New Delhi. As part of efforts to streamline the CBI, more than 300 lower-level employees of the agency have been transferred to the same place for more than 10 years.

Officials gave this information. He said that under orders issued last week, hundreds of junior clerks, senior clerks and inspector rank officers were transferred across the country. The number of sanctioned posts in the agency is over 7,000.

Joint Director (Administration) AK Bhatnagar had on 21 August 2019 asked the heads of various units to prepare a list of employees under them who have been posted at the same place for a long time. In the letter, Bhatnagar had urged the officials to stick to the ‘annual rotation’ transfer policy as issues of discipline arise in the agency due to staff being in one place.
