According to Asaduddin Owaisi, the temple did not exist when the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) was formed. Asaduddim Owaisi, the president of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), refuted the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple Pran Pratishtha story on Saturday once more, asserting that Babri Masjid was systematically taken over from Indian Muslims, who had been praying there for more than 500 years. Speaking to reporters in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, Owaisi claimed that the temple had not existed when the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) was formed and that if the Masjid hadn’t been destroyed in 1992, Muslims would not have to live with the current state of affairs.
For five centuries, Muslims performed namaz in the Babri Mosque. There were idols inside the masjid when GB Pant, a congressman, was the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh. At that time, Nair served as Ayodhya’s collector. He closed the masjid and began praying there. According to the news agencies, Owaisi stated that Ram Mandir did not exist at the time the VHP was founded. He went on to say that not even Mahatma Gandhi made reference to the Ram Mandir. Ram Mandir was never brought up by Mahatma Gandhi. Indian Muslims have had Babri Masjid taken away from them very methodically. He continued,” We wouldn’t have to see things the way they are now if GB Pant had removed those idols back then and the Masjid hadn’t been destroyed in 1992.”
The AIMIM leader additionally mocked the rival parties, pointing out that they are too busy appeasing the majority to talk about the minorities. This was directed at the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leader, Arvind Kejriwal, regarding their stance on the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla in the Ayodhya Temple. We will hold Sunderkand Path and Hanuman Chalisa every Tuesday, according to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is also a member of the India alliance. He continued,” No one talks about this because they are all too busy trying to win over the votes of the majority community.”
Owaisi had earlier attacked the AAP for scheduling Sunderkand before the pran-pratishtha ceremony, calling it a case of competitive Hindutva in which the community was fighting for the votes of the majority. The head of AIMIM had questioned the timing of the Sunderkand Path decision last week, calling the AAP “RSS kaa chotaa recharge.” The RSS chota recharge has decided that every assembly constituency in Delhi will host a Sunderkand Path on the first Tuesday of each month. He had stated that the inauguration of the Ram Temple on January 22 was the reason for this decision.
In the meantime, everything is getting ready for Ram Lalla’s pran-partishta ceremony, which is scheduled for January 22 at the Janmabhoomi temple. Ayodhya received a number of gifts on Saturday, including the 400 kg largest lock in the world and 1265 kg of laddu prasad, as an offering to Ram Lalla. Starting on Tuesday, the week-long ceremonies will conclude with the pran-pratishtha ceremony on January 22. The sacred setup of Ram Lalla is expected to be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
