New Delhi: In order to prevent corona virus infection, the Tamil Nadu government has also decided to extend the lockdown to 30 April. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswamy has ordered the lockdown to be extended by 30 April and became the sixth state to do so.

First Odisha decided to extend the lockdown. After this, the governments of Punjab, Maharashtra, Telangana and West Bengal had announced to extend the lockdown. However, most states are in favor of extending the lockdown and most of the chief ministers in the meeting held with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday had done it to increase it.

According to the Ministry of Health, so far 1043 people have been infected with the Corona virus in Tamil Nadu and 11 people have also died due to this epidemic. 50 people have also won the battle of Corona virus in the state, who have been discharged after recovering.

According to the Health Ministry data, so far 9152 people have been affected by the corona virus across the country, of which 308 people have lost their lives and 856 have been cured. The number of people infected with corona worldwide has crossed 18.5 lakhs, while 1 lakh 14 thousand people have lost their lives due to this epidemic.
