NewDelhi: Finally Prashant Kishore (PK) made into the grand old party of India. The Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday confirmed and told senior Congress leaders that Prashant Kishor would join the party and work out a strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and three assembly elections.

PK may become general secretary
According to sources, PK can be given the role of party general secretary. They will work on strategy and alliance. If this happens then for the first time such posts will be created in Congress. That is, for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Prashant will decide on the election strategy of Congress and alliance with other parties.

How crucial is PK for Congress in 2024 Lok Sabha elections?
In October 2021 meeting with Rahul-Priyanka, Prashant Kishor had mentioned his role in the party. PK’s entry was postponed due to opposition from members of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), the largest decision-making body of the party at that time, but now Prashant’s joining the Congress and his role has almost been approved by the high command. Prashant will prepare the election strategy for the party in the upcoming assembly of three states in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat in the 2022 and 2024 Lok Sabha elections. PK will also manage seat-sharing and alliance partners. He will report it directly to Congress President Sonia Gandhi.
Prashant Kishor has suggested that Congress to be made a strong and reliable ally, so that the BJP can be given a tough fight. The first focus of PK will be to add strong secular parties in the Lok Sabha.

What is PK’s strategy for Congress?
Prashant Kishor has given many suggestions to revive the Congress in his latest presentation which includes that INC may fight on 370 Lok Sabha seats across the country, but it will fight alone in UP, Bihar and Odisha, along with alliances Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
