The Sikh community decides to organize the 3-day Akhand path in Ayodhya at Gurudwara Brahm Kund Sahib. The path was organized from 19 January 2024 to 21 January 2024. The Akhand path was organized by the Sikh community before the day of the Pran Pratishtha of the newly built Ram temple. On this day, Sikhs from various parts of the country join the Akhand path. It will held for pran pratistha of Ram mandir, a BJP national spokesperson said. It is a great history of connection between Lord Ram, Sikhs, and Ayodhya. The key evidence on which the Supreme Court relied was the visit of Guru Nanak dev Ji to the Ram temple in 1510. 

What is Akhand Path?

‘Akhand Path’ refers to the non-stop, uninterrupted recitation of the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of Sikhism. This practice show sikh’s faith in their culture and significance. The term “Akhand” means uninterrupted or unbroken, and “Path” refers to the studying or recitation of the scripture.

During an Akhand Path, the Guru Granth Sahib is examined from beginning to end with no breaks. Devotees take turns analyzing or being attentive to the scripture, making sure that the recitation keeps day and night till the whole Guru Granth Sahib is finished. The Akhand Path is regularly carried out on special events, including weddings, birthdays, or other big occasions within the Sikh network.

Ram Mandir consecration ceremony

For the ram temple inauguration, the rituals has been starts from 16 January 2024. These will keep till 21 January. On 22 January 2024, the crucial ritual for ram temple inaugration, Pran pratishtha for Ram Lalla idol has conducted.

The ram temple rituals will starts till 22 January 2024. 11 clergymen are acting the rituals invoking all of the “devis and devtas” (goddesses and gods),” Ram temple leader priest Acharya Satyendra Das stated.

Akhand Path organized for the inauguration of the Ram temple 

RP Singh stated that ‘Akhand Path’ and numerous programs have been organized before the Supreme Court’s landmark verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid case in 2019.

By establishing the ‘Akhand Path’, the Sikh community’s goals are no longer just to demonstrate interfaith harmony but also to have fun with the triumph of faith and spirituality that transcends the bounds of the faith.

Conclusion 

As a gesture of communal harmony, the Sikh network will organize a 3-day ‘Akhand Path’ at Gurdwara Brahm Kund Sahib in Ayodhya in advance of the  ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration rite) of the Ram Temple. The ‘Akhand Path’ at Gurdwara Brahmkund Sahib will begin on 19 January and culminate on 21 January. 

One of BJP person said that number of sikh from different areas of country come to Akhand path, that organize for Ram temple inauguration on 21 January. It can be held for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in order that it is going off easily.” He also said that the histories of Ram Temple and Sikhs are interlinked.
