Lucknow: Sulking socialist leader and Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) chief, Shivpal Yadav, seems all set to follow the footsteps of her daughter-in-law Aparna Yadav’s route of shifting camps. This comes a day later when the beleaguered SP MLA has once again hinted about his future political move after meeting with UP CM Yogi Adityanath at his official residence in Lucknow.

Today once again he sparked political speculations about his future when he started following PM Modi and UP CM Yogi and former deputy CM Dinesh Sharma on Twitter. Earlier, this week he meet for around 20 minutes with UP CM residence after he was not invited by the Samajwadi Party (SP) legislature meet in which Akhilesh selected as the party leader. Yadav had contested the UP Assembly elections on the symbol of SP. But he skipped the opposition meeting and took oath on March 31.
Shivpal seems to be all set to join BJP after being humiliated by the SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, who has not only denied tickets to his followers in recent UP assembly elections but also not acknowledged his win as SP MLA.

In the recently concluded UP assembly elections, the BJP came to power once again by winning 255 of the 403 assembly seats in the state while SP won 111 seats. However, after the election result, it was Shivpal who came to the rescue of his alliance and blamed the BJP’s dishonesty and cunningness for the alliance’s defeat in the state’s election of 2022. However, Shivpal had won the recent UP assembly elections on SP’s symbol from his traditional Jaswantnagar seat of Etawah in the SP stronghold known as Yadav land.
