News Desk – A horrifying incident has come to light from a posh residential society in Pune, where a 22-year-old woman was raped inside her own home, allegedly by a courier delivery staff.
What Happened?
According to police, the delivery boy came to the woman’s flat around 7:30 pm with a bank envelope. When she went inside to check her phone for the OTP, the accused followed her in, closed the door, and raped her.
Some reports claim that the accused sprayed something on her face, causing her to lose consciousness. He then left the spot.
Before fleeing, the accused reportedly took a selfie on the woman’s phone and left a chilling message: “I will come again.”
Police Action
A case has been filed under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita sections related to rape, assault, and criminal intimidation.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajkumar Shinde said that 10 police teams — 5 from the crime branch and 5 zonal teams — are working to catch the accused.
Forensic experts are also checking whether any chemical or spray was used on the woman.
The selfie found on her phone is being analysed by the police.
