Ahead of the next Lok Sabha elections, the Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) is expected to collaborate with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), causing yet another blow to the I.N.D.I.A bloc, according to sources. They added that Jayant Chaudhry, the leader of the RLD, met with BJP leaders and received an offer of at least four seats in Western Uttar Pradesh for the saffron party. As a result, it is anticipated that the RLD and Samajwadi Party (SP) will split, with the former joining forces with the BJP. The RLD-SP alliance faces danger!
Sources claim that the SP has mandated that its candidates run on the RLD’s symbol in Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, and Bijnor. For Karana and Bijnor, the RLD has approved this arrangement; however, Muzaffarnagar has not. The RLD is steadfast in its position and has given important justifications for its unwillingness to accept Muzaffarnagar.
Notably, Dr. Sanjeev Baliyan of the BJP defeated Chaudhary Ajit Singh of the RLD in this constituency by a mere 6,500 votes in the previous election. Moreover, Budhana and Khatauli, two of the five assembly seats in the Muzzaffarnagar Lok Sabha constituency are presently held by the RLD.
