Today, PM Narendra Modi visited the Veerabhadra temple in Andhra Pradesh. This visit is just six days before the pran pratishtha ceremony at Ram temple in Ayodhya. The Veerabhadra temple, steeped in Ramayana lore, is the site of great historical and cultural significance. During PM Modi’s visit, he offered prayers to the temple and listened to verses from Ranganatha Ramayan, an epic rendition in Telugu.

Veerabhadra Temple is the temple where PM Modi visited today and offered prayers. This temple holds the special place in narrative, and believed to spot where bird jatayu fell, wound by ravana during abduction latter of goddess sita. A video of PM Modi offering prayers at the temple was shared using information employer ANI on X(previously Twitter). In the video, the high minister, dressed in traditional attire, is seen acting as the “aarti” of the deity. In the temple, he also heard verses from the Ranganatha Ramayan, which is in Telugu.

In another video, PM Modi was seen making a song, ‘Shri Ram Jai Ram’ bhajan, at the temple. Notably, The Lepakshi temple is intently associated with the Ramayana. It is believed that the chook, Jatayu, fell in the vicinity after being fatally wounded by using Ravan. Jatayu had attempted to forestall Ravan whilst he was fleeing after having abducted Goddess Sita.
