Savitri Jindal lost to Mukesh Ambani as India’s wealthiest person, gaining $10 billion to his net worth in 2023. Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani has increased his net worth by $10 billion this year, surpassing the wealthiest person in 2023-the matriarch of the Jindal family, Savitri Jindal-according to Moneycontrol, which used Bloomberg figures. 

This year, Reliance Industries shares spiked by 9% and Jio Financial Services stock became public following the demerger, contributing to Mukesh Ambani’s $9.98 billion fortune gain. With this, Ambani maintains his position as the richest individual in India with a total net worth of $97.1 billion. Savitri Jindal, the former chairperson of OP Jindal Group, was formerly the year’s biggest income gainer. Shiv Nadar, the founder of HCL shares. Nadar made $9.47 billion in profit this year.

Savitri Jindal, whose net worth increased by $9 billion this year, is the third person on the list. Jindal is the richest woman in India, with a net worth of $24.7 billion, primarily derived from her group firms, which include Jindal Steel and Power, and Jindal Energy.

List of 2023’s wealthiest people

Reliance’s Mukesh Ambani made $9.98 billion.

Shiv Nadar (HCL) –got $9.47 billion.

Savitri Jindal, the owner of Jindal Steel, made $9 billion.

Kushal Pal Singh (DLF)-acquired $7.83 billion.

$7.41 billion is Shapoor Mistry’s (Shapoorji Pallonji Group). 

Some of the most well-known businessman people in India, including Dilip Shanghvi from Sun Pharma ($5.26 billion), Kumar Mangalam Birla from Aditya Birla Group ($7.09 billion) and RVI Jaipuria from Varun Beverages ($5.91 billion), are among the other top wealth gainers. The second-richest individual in India, Gautam Adani of the Adani Group, however, lost the most money this year. Earlier this year, Adani’s overall net worth surpassed Ambani’s to become the richest man in India, topping $110 billion. But his net worth dropped to $83.2 billion after a significant wealth loss of more than $37 billion.
