New Delhi: Police on Saturday arrested SP leader Umaid Pehalwan in connection with the beating of a Muslim elder in Loni, Ghaziabad. Along with him, Gulshan has also been arrested. Both have been arrested near Delhi’s Loknayak Jai Prakash Hospital. On June 5, the elderly man was beaten up in Loni, Ghaziabad.
Now all the 11 accused have been arrested in the Ghaziabad incident. Because both have been arrested from Delhi, so now both will be brought to Ghaziabad. In this case, after the FIR was registered against the wrestler, his last location was seen between Delhi-Noida. Umaid Pehalwan was on the run for the past several days.
Umaid Pehelwan was connected to the people through WhatsApp and with the help of that the police was trying to find out his location and as soon as the police came to know about his presence in Delhi, a team of police reached Delhi. He was arrested from near LNJP Hospital. He had covered his face, but the police had solid information, after which he was arrested.
