New Delhi: The Congress Party has announced the name of the new treasurer. Congress Working President Sonia Gandhi has given additional charge of this post to former minister Pawan Kumar Bansal. Which has come into force with immediate effect. Information about this party’s party general secretary KC Venugopal released a press note on Saturday.
It is to be known that till now, Ahmed Patel was holding the position close to Sonia and Gandhi family. But the post was vacant after his death from Corona recently.
After losing the election from Chandigarh in 2014, Bansal side line within the Congress party. However, during this time he was made in charge of the party administration. But even then his name was not included in the first line leaders of the Congress. At the same time, after getting important posts like treasurer, Bansal has again come to the first line.
