Late Monday morning, a four-story structure in Malkaganj, near Subzi Mandi, in north Delhi fell. According to the fire service, one person was recovered from the rubble, while two children are believed to be trapped beneath it. According to police and fire department authorities, a vehicle parked nearby was severely damaged when rubble from the building fell on it.
At 11.50 a.m., the fire control room received a report about a building fall in Malkaganj, according to Delhi Fire Services (DFS) head Atul Garg. Five fire tenders and rescue squads were first dispatched to the scene. He said that two additional fire tenders were deployed afterward. Anto Alphonse, Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), said one person was rescued and sent to a local hospital for treatment.

Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi chief minister, said on Monday that rescuers are attempting to remove people from a four-story building that collapsed in the national capital’s Sabzi Mandi neighborhood and that he is watching the situation. After the home fell at about 11.50 a.m., a call was made from the Sabzi Mandi neighborhood.
Five tenders have been dispatched to the scene for rescue and relief efforts, according to officials. Two further bids were dispatched to the site later by the local government. So far, just one person has been rescued and is being treated at a local hospital. The structure fell in the Sabzi Mandi Ghanta Ghar neighborhood of Malka Ganj, directly across from the Robin movie. This comes as rain is falling in the nation’s capital. However, it is still unclear if the structure fell as a result of the rainfall.
This year, the patchy monsoon has resulted in sporadic rainfall in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR). This has resulted in significant waterlogging concerns in the city and many reports of a wall collapse.
On Sunday, a nine-month-old child and his mother were killed when a part of a roof collapsed on them in the Swaroop Nagar neighborhood of North Delhi. The police have filed a complaint against the house’s owner under Indian Penal Code sections 304A (causing death by carelessness) and 337 (causing harm by conduct threatening the life or personal safety).
