Mallikarjun Kharge & Jairam Ramesh receive legal notices: Nitin Gadkari

NewsMallikarjun Kharge & Jairam Ramesh receive legal notices: Nitin Gadkari

Date:

According to Nitin Gadkari’s attorney, the video was meant to sow discord within the Bharatiya Janata Party. Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge and general secretary Jairam Ramesh have received legal notices from Union minister Nitin Gadkari for allegedly sharing slanderous material about him on the party’s official X account.

Gadkari’s attorney, Balendu Shekhar, stated that the BJP leader was taken aback upon discovering that a 19-second video clip had been removed from his conversation with a news portal. His attorney claimed that the video obscured the significance and background of his remarks.

Nitin Gadkari’s interview was contorted and twisted, according to the notices. His attorney

charged that the leaders of Congress were engaged in a dark deed intended only to spread confusion, sensationalism, and ill-will.

His attorney stated in the notice that the same has been done purposefully and consciously with a particular segment of Hindi captions.

Aj gaaon, mazdoor aur kisaan dukhii hain is the caption that the Congress used when posting the video to X. Villages, laborers, and farmers are not happy with today’s Gaaon roads; pinne ke liye shudh paani nahii haii, achhee aspatal nahii haii, ache schools nahiii haii), said Modi sarkar ke mantri, Nitin Gadkari. Villages lack access to decent hospitals, schools, drinking water, and roads (Minister Nitin Gadkari, Modi government).

Nitin Gadkari accuses Kharge and Ramesh of a sinister act.

According to Nitin Gadkari’s attorney, Ramesh and Kharge, two of the Congress’s most powerful figures, were conscious of the context of the former’s remarks, which attempted to highlight the government of Narendra Modi’s efforts to promote development in the nation. He claimed that the purpose of the Hindi-language video caption was to defame Nitin Gadkari.

“It was shocking to learn about, observe, and read the posts on the microblogging platform ‘X’ from the official handle of your party, the Indian National Congress, at 9:36 AM on March 1, 2024. You noticed that 19 seconds of audio and visual footage were purposefully posted, hiding the context and significance of the client’s interview,” the statement read.

This sinister act has been carried out with only one goal and malicious intent to fan and create disorientation, sensation, and discredit to my client in the eyes of the public at large, the notice continued. The notice from his lawyer stated that the interview’s caption was scandalous and wholly untrue.

According to the notice, the video clip’s contents-which lack any context-dependent intent of

Interaction and have a captioned Hindi title-are wholly false, shockingly inaccurate in fact, completely afterthought, and an intentional attempt by the notices to denigrate and insult my client. You also intend to incite Bharatiya Janata Party members to become ideologically rift with my client. Nitin Gadkari has asked that X take down the video and issue a three-day written apology.
