It has been discovered that France intends to use India as a major point of reference for its Indo-Pacific strategy. Thus, India will be taken consideration when formulation French policies in the Indo-Pacific, which will also take the rapidly growing Chinese Navy into account. Although a joint statement from the two parties is anticipated tomorrow or following the Republic Day Parade, the two deep strategic allies will present a defense industrial roadmap  that will be firmly based on Prime Minister Modi’s “Atma Nirbhar Bharat” initiative.

To design. Manufacture and certify defense platforms in India, French companies and supply chains will collaborate with Indian partners. Although Indian supply chains will have access to the French market as well, the roadmaps’ main goal is to increase employment opportunities for skilled young people in India. The two nations collaborate closely in civilian space exploration. India and France have a long history in defense and a bright future ahead of them, despite the fact that President Macron and Prime Minister Modi have met often over the past year.

India has already started the process of acquiring 26 Rafale-Maritime multirole fighters for the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant and Mazagon Dockyards Limited will build three more cutting-edge diesel-electric  submarines with assistance from the Naval Group.  Given that India supports deterrence, the two countries are also in discussion about building at least two nuclear attack submarines in India in the future with Drench assistance. Additionally, the two sides have agreed to build submarines at MDL, Mumbai and naval surface combatants at GRSE, Kolkata, for export to third nations.
