Lucknow: Uniform Civil Code has become the talk of the town ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections a new debate has started once again in the country. After the recent statement given today in MP by Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding this issue, UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has given a big statement on this. Maurya said about the Common Civil Code that there should be one law for all in a country and we will implement soon in UP.

DY CM K P Maurya said, ‘It is really needed now, there should be some law for someone and some law for some. The UP government is going to implement the Common Civil Code. Uttarakhand govt is ready with the Uniform civil code draft and after detailed discussion, it will be presented in the Assembly for resolution.
Maurya said, ‘Under Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas, if the same work is being done for everyone, then the Common Civil Code should also be implemented. Along with this, he said that non-BJP people should also demand, but when it comes to vote bank, the politics of appeasement is visible.
He says, ‘Our government is in favor of this, common civil code is very important for this country. It is necessary for Uttar Pradesh and necessary for the people of this country. The major issues of the Bharatiya Janata Party are Article 370, the construction of Ram Mandir, and the Common Civil Code.
On the question of opposition support, he said, ‘Even after the opposition did not support Article 370, it was removed and this Common Civil Code will also be implemented.
