Actor and model Poonam Pandey has come under hearth for allegedly faking her dying and spreading deceptive information in a bid to show the cause of cervical cancer. Maharashtra legislator Satyajeet Tambe demanded on Saturday that Poonam Pandey be held managed by Mumbai Police for spreading false facts about her death.

Criticism must be filed against Poonam Pandey, according to Tambe, a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Council, to keep her chargeable for people who pick to use such exposure-grabbing acts to boost their careers. Tambe stated in a declaration that Poonam Pandey “made or posted false or misleading records” and that she must face results.

“The information of an influencer/model demise of cervical cancer cannot be a way to unfold awareness about the death. The episode takes away the extreme nature of cervical most cancers and diverts the attention totally to the influencer,” Tambe said.

Poonam Pandey on Saturday that she was still alive, despite the false news being circulated to raise “crucial attention” about cervical cancers. 

Taking to X (previously Twitter) on Saturday, the AICWA stated in an assertion, it read, “The fake information of demise of model and actress Poonam Pandey because of cervical cancer sent a shockwave amongst all in Indian Film enterprise. This false information was created for an exposure stunt by model and actress Poonam Pandey, which is being confirmed by her manager. This fake information had harm the sentiments of all Indians who paid tribute to her.”

The death news of Poonam Pandey also shared on Instagram page. Poonam announced that she is still alive in a video announcement that she uploaded on social media on Saturday.

Cine Workers Association slams Poonam Pandey.

The All Indian Cine Workers Association also slammed Poonam Pandey, who filed an FIR against her. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, the AICWA said, “The use of the guise of cervical cancer for self-advertising isn’t acceptable.”

The false death information of Poonam Pandey create shock for entire film sector. This false news was created as a publicity stunt by model and actress Poonam Pandey that is being confirmed by way of her supervisor. This false news had hurt the feelings of all Indians who paid tribute to her,” it stated in a statement.

We request your good self to please record an FIR against both Poonam Pandey and her supervisor for spreading false information simply for their PR publicity. Strict action in opposition to them is essential so that such forms of fake news will not be circulated by all of us. Such cheap publicity is not in any respect customary in our Indian Film Industry, which has excessive emotional values for all,” the declaration states.


On February 2, Poonam Pandey’s manager showed that the actress had died of cervical cancer. An announcement was also posted on Poonam Pandey’s official Instagram, which read, “This morning is a hard one for us.
