Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday directed to state officials to further strengthen the law and order and complete the construction projects in a time-bound manner. Reviewing the development works of the Gorakhpur division in a meeting held at Commissioner’s Auditorium in Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister said that the ongoing development projects should be corruption free and special attention should be paid to transparency, quality, and time limit and there should be no discrimination in implementing law and order.

According to the official statement, the CM Yogi did a district-wise detailed review of the development programs, law and order and progress of projects worth more than Rs 10 crore of the Gorakhpur division. On this occasion, he provided financial assistance of two lakh rupees each from the Chief Minister’s discretionary fund to two beneficiaries of Gayatrinagar in Gorakhpur. He directed that a nodal officer must be nominated for each project and all preparations related to flood control should be completed ahead of time and repair work of sensitive dams should be done before the rains. He also said that the water-logging situation should not arise in the metropolis, for this, cleaning of drains etc. should be done in time and regular monitoring of the works should also be done. He said that the officers should stay overnight at their place of posting.
Strict action must be taken against the criminals
CM Yogi instructed the officers that better communication should be established with the public representatives. Meetings should be held with them at least once a month. The officers should be sensitive towards the public and solve their problems.
Reviewing the law and order situation, the CM said that strict legal action should be taken against the criminals, and arrangements for seating, drinking water etc. should be made for the people coming to the police stations. Grievances should be heard with sensitivity. Unnecessary items lying in police stations should also be disposed of as per rules. Police patrolling should be carried forward systematically. Patriotic tunes should be played by police bands at martyr places/tourist places once a week.

At the same time, during the meeting, all the district magistrates of the division made presentations regarding the progress of development projects of their respective districts and the police officers regarding law and order. Yogi govt has made its plan for 100 days in the state; now its time to implement the plan for the welfare of the state he said.
