A worker was killed at the same time as 4 others were injured in a sequence of blasts at a chemical factory in Maharashtra’s Thane district. The incident happened in Badlapur at the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) around 4:30 am on Thursday.

Bhagwat Sonawane, the chief fire officer of Kulgaon-Badlapur Fire Services, stated that the factory was in the Kharvai MIDC vicinity. Some chemical substances in the drums exploded and spilt over the tempos and automobiles out of doors, putting them on fire, he said.
