An attempt was made to distribute ugly images on social media in a bid to defame Mohit Pandey, who was just named chief priest at Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya. The Gujarat Police have detained Hitendra Pithadiya, a prominent Congress politician, in connection with this matter.

“Is this the individual set to become the priest of Ayodhya Ram Temple?” Pictures and videos that Hitendra reportedly posted had “obscene” or “fake” captions. A man wearing sandalwood paste and a tilak, a religious emblem worn on the forehead, is seen in one of the photographs in a sexually provocative pose with a woman. Extra visual cues suggest close physical contact between the lovers.

A cybercrime section charge was filed against Hitendra Pithiya, who is the head of the SC department in the Gujarat Congress. His detention was a direct result of his involvement in making and sharing false posts. The complaint alleges that there was an intent to defame individuals and disrespect their religious beliefs. It didn’t take long for the cybercrime squad to react to the accusation and capture the ringleader. Evidence against Pithiya includes allegations under sections 509, 469, 295A, and the IT act.

A pornographic website allegedly contains many videos of the same couple. This video includes a priest from Telugu and is completely unrelated to Mohit Pandey. The inquiry determined that the individual seen in the video does not belong to Mohit Pandey.

Who is Mohit Pandey?

The primary priest of Ayodhya’s Shri Ram Temple is Mohit Pandey, who studied at Doodheshwar Nath Ved Vidya Peeth. Out of three thousand candidates, Mohit is one of twenty chosen for the priesthood positions. It will take the selected priests six months of training before they can assume their roles.

An pornographic video featuring a couple has gone viral, along with some explicit pictures from the film and the unfounded claim that the man in the photos is Mohit Pandey. The lawmaker who shared the picture is now under criticism.

The main goal is to smear Ayodhya and the priest

The pornographic photos include a man who, due to the exploitation of his likeness, resembles Mohit Pandey. This action has damaged the reputation of the leading priest of Ram Temple. The photos were widely circulated on social media with the aim of defaming Ayodhya, the shrine of Lord Shri Ram, and the priest linked to the temple.

The pictures were posted by Hitendra Pithadiya on his official social media account

Hitendra Pithadiya, a lawmaker from the Congress party, is also being mentioned in connection to the matter. Along with his name, a screenshot of his page including the purported priest photos has also gone popular on social media. Several people on the internet have demanded that the congressman be punished severely. Tweeted by Hitendra Pithadiya, the images are his own work.

On Sunday, Kalvakuntla Kavitha, daughter of former Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) and Bharat Raksha Samithi (BRS) MLC, said that this was the realization of a dream for millions of Hindus, since the huge Ram Temple in Ayodhya was almost set to be opened.

“The nation and Telangana rejoice with the installation of the idol of Sri Seetharama Chandra Swamy in Ayodhya, fulfilling a holy wish for millions of Hindus,” K. Kavitha said on her blog.
