On Thursday, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw introduced an annual capacity-building strategy to give Indian Railways officials and frontline employees of the ministries under him citizen-centric behavioral training, strengthening capacity and holistic development.
The Ministry of Railways’ Annual Capacity Building Plan aims to improve service delivery and efficiency by raising the competencies and knowledge of railway workers. It focuses on building organizational capabilities, such as introducing new technology, enhancing customer support, and encouraging an innovative and ever-improving culture.
The union minister, who oversees IT, communications, electronics, and railways, stated that significant investments are being made in all four of his departments and that the Narendra Modi government has extensive investment plans because they will lay the groundwork for a developed country known as “Viksit Bharat.”
Railways, common service centers (CSC), and BSNL are examples of departments that are service-related. According to Vaishnaw, these industries demand a different mindset because of the constant interaction with customers and stakeholders, which has a significant impact on both the customers and the network as a whole.
Notably, as of February 2023, Indian Railways employed over 11.75 lakh people. In the meantime, the Railway Board has collaborated with Railways to prepare the annual capacity-building plan, which outlines the essential tasks and competencies as well as the requirements for comprehensive development at the individual and organizational levels.
Put your attention on improving public services. A number of frontline employees from BSNL, railroads, post offices, and common service centers (CSC) received training in 2023 prior to the plan’s launch. They talked about how these efforts to build capacity had improved their performance, helped them grow as individuals, and changed the way they thought about their work in general.
Speaking to the august assembly of more than a thousand workers, Vaishnaw commended every worker for their excellent work on Mission Karmayogi, according to a statement released by the company.
Before the plan was unveiled, a number of frontline employees from the post office, railroads, BSNL, and common service centers (CSC) who had previously received training the previous year shared their experiences. They talked about how the training improved their performance and allowed them to better provide the public with government services by helping them develop their capabilities and mindset.
Vaishnaw commended every worker for their excellent work on Mission Karmayogi, according to the release. Senior officials and the chairperson of the Railway Board were present at the event. Railways, Post, CSC, and BSNL are all service-related departments. These sectors demand a different way of thinking because they deal with stakeholders and customers on a constant basis, and their interactions have a significant impact on both the consumers and the network as a whole. Vaishnaw stated that since the Prime Minister frequently states that “mind is never an issue, but attitude is, “we must develop a mindset that is solution-focused.
