Lucknow: Aligarh Police registerd an FIR against a Professor of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) who reffered the examples of Rape in Hindu Mythology. The professor was delivering a lecture in the forensic science class. The University asked explanation from him, he appologised unconditionally, then after university suspend him.

Dr. Jitendra Kumar is an assistant professor at AMU’s Jawahar Lal Nehru Medical College. In a lecture on medical jurisprudence, he made the fedrences of rape from hindu mythology. Police registered an FIR against Jitendra on the charges of hurting religious sentiments.Whereas the University suspend the assistant professor though he offered an unconditional appology.
In house enquiry started
Though police lodged an FIR, University has also started an enquiry against the teacher in this context. Disciplinary action would be taken according the outcome of the report.
