New Delhi: The first case of the deadly Coroanvirus XE Variant virus was detected in Mumbai on Wednesday. Out of the total of 376 samples, one person was confirmed infected with the XE variant. The variant was the first to get traced in Europe. The report said that the reports of a total of 230 people were sent for serosurvey. Out of these, 21 people have been admitted and are under observation and none of them required hospitalization or critical care facilities.

The first such case was detected in Europe. and since then it was known as XE virus variant. The WHO in its advisory has shown some concerns that this variant can be a rapid spreader so one needs to be vigilant and follow the Covid-19 protocols as usual.
However, in countries like South Korea and China Covid cases are rising once again. Shanghai was already under lockdown. Meanwhile, as per the study of IIT Kanpur, the next wave of Covid may hit India by June. However, medical experts feel that due to large vaccination in the country has increased the immunity of the citizens. In such a situation, the new Covid wave is not expected to be as deadly as before.

India this time was better prepared to fight the Covid-19 virus as compared to the first and second wave which has brought casualties and also choked the medical facilities. Now, oxygen plants were established in many hospitals across India with required medical facilities.
