Yogi government forced to retire IPS Amitabh Thakur and two others

Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Yogi government has forcibly retired Amitabh Thakur, a prominent IPS officer of the state. Amitabh Thakur often raises public interest issues. His wife social activist advocate Nutan Thakur is also often known for his interference in many cases. The government has also retired Amitabh Thakur as well as two other IPS Rajesh Shankar and Rajesh Krishna.

The order to retire the three IPS officers has been sent today. Among them, Amitabh Thakur is the most popular name. It has been released by Avnish Awasthi, Principal Secretary Home, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The order states that it has been found by the Ministry of Home Affairs that ‘these people are not fit to serve in the public interest’.

Amitabh Thakur was currently serving as IG in Rules and Manuals. Significantly, it was Amitabh Thakur who lodged an FIR against former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav for threatening him. Amitabh Thakur has been raising his voice against the government of every party. After this order, Amitabh Thakur has said, “It is unexpected that he came to know about it this afternoon only. The government does not need me anymore. I am contemplating what I should do now.”

In the evening, Amitabh Thakur quit his post accepting his retirement and returned the government car and driver. He gave information about this by tweeting.
