Toolkit case: Police issued notice to BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra

Raipur: Police has issued notice for questioning to BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra in the toolkit case filed by the state president of NSUI in Raipur, capital of Chhattisgarh.

In the notice sent to the concerned Patra via email late yesterday evening, in-charge of the Civil Line Police Station of Raipur, in the crime registered under Section 504,505 (1) (b) (C), 469 and 188 against him in the police station at four o’clock this evening, asked to appear in the form or through video conferencing. Legal action has also been warned against not complying with the notice.

It is known that in the toolkit controversy, the state president of the Indian National Students’ Organization Akash Sharma accused the BJP’s national vice-president and former chief minister Dr. Raman Singh and the BJP’s national spokesperson for propagating the false and fabricated story of the Congress-ridden letterhead. An FIR was lodged against Patra on 19 May. A similar notice has been issued by the police to Dr. Singh.
