New Delhi: Terrorists have attacked a police team in Naugam on the outskirts of Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. Two policemen have died in this incident while one policeman is injured.
Kashmir Police tweeted about this attack and said, “Terrorists started firing on the police party near Naugam Bypass. Three policemen were injured in the incident. He was immediately rushed to the hospital where two personnel died.
The police personnel who were martyred have been identified as Ashfaq Ayub and Fayaz Ahmed of the 20th Battalion of the IRP. At the same time, the injured jawan has been identified as Mohammad Ashraf.
The attack has been carried out a day before Independence Day, however, on August 15, security in Jammu and Kashmir has been increased.
