Noida: A nine-member delegation of the Samajwadi Party (SP) is all set to meet Shrikant Tyagi’s wife Anu Tyagi at her residence in Sector 93-B at Omaxe Society in Noida. According to a letter written by the Akhilesh Yadav-led SP, the delegation will arrive at Noida on September 2 and gather information about whether Anu Tyagi and her daughter Ingila Tyagi faced any harassment in the police custody from August 5 to August 9.
At a function in Noida on August 27, Yadav described the incident at Omex Society as the true character of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Anu Tyagi alleged that BJP’s Member of Parliament Mahesh Sharma had hatched a conspiracy to defame her family and her husband. She also alleged that the action taken against her husband was illegal.

A video clip of an incident, in which Shrikant Tyagi was seen abusing a woman at the Grand Omaxe Society in Noida, went viral on social media on August 5. Tyagi with his four accomplices was arrested on August 9. His house was also bulldozed.
