Mumbai: President of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Sharad Pawar has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for some health problems. According to sources in the hospital, the doctors advised the 82-year-old politician to remain in the hospital for three days. He may be discharged on November 2.
Pawar is likely to travel to Shirdi in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra on November 4 and 5 to take part in a training camp to be organised by his party, sources further said.
Nevertheless, neither the NCP leaders nor the doctors at the hospital said anything about the nature of Pawar’s illness. Unconfirmed sources said that he was down with weakness after touring the flood-hit regions in Pune. The party leaders have advised the workers not to crowd around the hospital. A large number of party workers and leaders expressed concern over Pawar’s health.
