Sophian: Another successful task of neutralizing the terrorist took place early on Tuesday. The Terrorist killed belonged to Lashkar-e-taiba which is an Islamic radical organization.
According to the information received the operation took place in South Kashmir’s Sophian district. The terrorist was identified as Lateef Lone and Umer Nazir, the identity of the third man is still not revealed by the officials.
The operation was planned after the three killed the Kashmiri Pandits. The two deceased were identified as Puran Krishna and Bahadur Thapa who belonged to Nepal.
According to the information received one AK 47 rifle and 2 pistols were recovered from the terrorist’s neutralization.
The security forces received information about the terrorists from the sources that they were present at the Marg area of Zainapora in Sophia. Following this, they reached the area and open fire on them leading to a successful encounter. As per the official statement, this was a joint operation by the JK police, the Indian army, and the CRPF.
