Puducherry: Puducherry Health Minister Malladi Krishna Rao has resigned on Wednesday.
According to sources in his office, he has submitted his resignation letter to Chief Minister V Narayanasamy.
If the Chief Minister not accept his resignation, he will send the letter to Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi, Mr Rao said.
It may be noted that the Minister at a function held in his Yanam Assembly constituency had stated that he or any of his relatives will not contest the elections from the Constituency anymore and said the will continue to serve the people of Yanam even if he is not a legislator.
He had already surrendered his house provided by the government and his official car.
