President’s rule impose in Puducherry

New Delhi: After the fall of the Congress government in the Union Territory of Puducherry, President’s rule has been implemented. The home ministry notification states that the assembly will remain suspended. On Wednesday, the Union Cabinet approved the proposal to impose President’s rule in Puducherry.

Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar had said that the Narayanasamy-led government had resigned after some MLAs of the ruling party in Puducherry broke away from the party, adding that after the chief minister’s resignation, no one claimed to form the government did not do. This curtain recommended the dissolution of the assembly in Puducherry. The Union Cabinet approved this proposal.

Prakash Javadekar said that the dates of assembly elections in Puducherry are expected to be announced in the coming days and after that the model code of conduct will come into force. Let us know that Puducherry Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy submitted his resignation to LG Tamilisai Soundararajan before the division of votes after presenting a vote of confidence on Monday.
