Yogi government transfers nine senior IPS officers
Lucknow: In a major reshuffle, nine senior police officers were transferred on Tuesday, including the additional director general of police, law and order, PV Ramasastry. He has now been posted as acting DG Vigilance. Whereas, Prashant Kumar-I who was posted as ADG Meerut Zone has now been made the new ADG law and order of the state.
Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Avnish Kumar Awasthi told here that PV Ramasastri, Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), has been given a new posting as Additional Director General of Police at Vigilance Establishment Lucknow. He will serve as the director general in charge here.
Meerut Zone Additional Director General of Police Prashant Kumar will now replace Ram Shastri as Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order). Additional Director General of Police (Women Power Line) Anju Gupta has been sent to the post of Additional Director General of Police at Police Training School Meerut. She will succeed Laxmi Singh, who has been made the Inspector General of Police of Lucknow Region.
Additional Director General of Police (Security) Dipesh Juneja has been appointed to the post of Additional Director General of Police (Personnel). He will replace l V. Antony Devkumar, who has been given a new posting as Additional Director General of Police in CBCID. Neera Rawat, who is awaiting posting, has been sent to the post of Additional Director General of Police (Women Power Line) Lucknow.
IPS officer Rajeev Sabharwal, who is awaiting posting, has been made Additional Director General of Police of Meerut Zone. Additional Director General of Police (PAC) B.C. K. Singh has been given the additional charge of Additional Director General of Police (Security). At the same time, Inspector General of Police of Lucknow Range S. K. Bhagat has been given a new posting as Secretary in the Home Department.
