The 5G services will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at India’s biggest annual event – Mobile Congress annual event on the 1st of October 2022. In fact, our country is preparing to launch the 6G services by the end of 2030. Everyone has been looking forward to the 5G services and the wait is now over as the government recently completed the spectrum auction in bids by telecom giants including Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea, and Adani Data Networks.
High-speed data will increase the potential and accelerate several enterprise-level functions like machine-to-machine communications, and connected automobiles, including augmented reality experiences and metaverse.
In a media conference post the completion of the bidding process for 5G spectrum, the Union Minister of Communications, Electronics and Information Technology Ashwini Vaishnaw shared that out of 72,098 MHz of spectrum, close to 71 per cent has already been sold and allotted in the current auction.
The 5G spectrum auction had a huge amount of bidding rounds conducted over a period of seven days. The total amount of the bid is Rs 1,50,173 crore. Sharing details with the news agency ANI, Vaishnaw said ,the 5G services are ready to be inaugurated in Indi by October 2022 The Auction has been concluded and in the next coming days, all the remaining formalities of formal approval and allocation of the spectrum shoul be completed.It seems possible for us to be able to launch 5Gahead of the festive season. The bidding and ongoing 5G spectrum process is indicative of the factthat our country has progressed a lot and come a long way in the race to provide enhanced technology services,” the minister added.
