The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday handed over the health status document of Abubacker to the Delhi High Court, which was authored by examining from AIIMS. Abubakar was the chief of the former popular Front India which is now banned b the government.
According to the official reports, the court had refused the house arrest of the chief of PFI and asked the authority to submit a proper health certificate by incorporating the medical officer’s opinion.
According to the information received Abubacker’s lawyer asked for time from the court for acquiring instructions on the health report. The court has now listed that the next hearing is to be on 19th December.
The PFI chief was arrested under UAPA on September 22, whereas he has been in judicial custody since October 6. He was active in several Islamic organizations like the Ideal Students League, Jamaat-e-Islami, and the Students Islamic Movement of India.
As per the information received the court has refused the plea to grant bail to Abubacker. Following this, his lawyer asked for house arrest which was rejected by the court.
According to Abubacker, he is suffering from multiple diseases which are esophagus cancer, Parkinson’s disease, hypertension, diabetes, and loss of vision.
Pujari has earlier submitted a bail plea which was rejected by the court following which the court said that he can be treated as per requirements in AIIMS. Following this, the lawyer argued that he is in his late 70s and needs proper home care which was later detained.
