Gorakhpur: More than 500 bats were mysteriously found dead at two different places on Tuesday (May 26) in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Sensation has spread about the death of such a large number of bats. The villagers are witnessing this incident with Corona virus infection. Unknown virus is also suspected to spread in people. The bats have mysteriously been found dead in Belaghat area and Gola area of Gorakhpur.
The forest department fears that these bats may have died due to excessive heat and no water. However, these dead bats have been sent to the Indian Animal Research Institute (IVRI) (Vet Research Center) in Bareilly for postmortem and research.
In a similar incident, doctors of the Animal Husbandry Department of Bihar have confirmed the reports of massive death of bats near Ara in Bhojpur district on Tuesday (26 May). A sample of bats has been sent to Patna for investigation and doctors said that the cause of his death can be known only after the investigation report is received.
