Mig 29 fighter plane crashes in Punjab, pilot safe

Jalandhar: A fighter plane of the Indian Air Force crashed in Punjab on Friday. The crashed fighter aircraft was MiG-29. It crashed near Jalandhar in Punjab. Regarding the incident in Chuharpur village of Nawanshahar, Nawanshahar Deputy Commissioner Vinay Bublani said that a fighter plane of the Indian Air Force crashed in the fields here. He said that the accident happened at around 10:30 in the morning.

At the same time, a spokesperson of the Indian Air Force said that the MiG-29 was on an aircraft training operation from the air force base near Jalandhar. The officer said the pilot was rescued by a helicopter and orders have been given to the Court of Inquiry to find out the cause of the accident.

The Indian Air Force has reported that the aircraft had some technical fault. After the accident, an inquiry has been ordered into the case. The plane had only one pilot aboard. The site of the incident is being investigated.
