Mayawati wants an investigation into a security breakdown during PM Modi’s visit to Punjab

Mayawati, the leader of the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), also observed that, in light of the upcoming assembly elections, political wrangling and allegations over the incident were inappropriate.

Mayawati voiced worry on Thursday about a security breakdown during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to poll-bound Punjab on Wednesday, and sought a high-level investigation.

Mayawati said the security breakdown during PM Modi’s visit to Punjab is very concerning in a series of tweets.

Mayawati stated that the incident must be taken seriously and that a high-level, impartial investigation be conducted so that the perpetrators can face appropriate punishment.

Mayawati, the four-time former CM of Uttar Pradesh, said that political wrangling and allegations over the incident were inappropriate given the upcoming assembly elections in places such as Punjab.

While politics should be put on hold in the wake of the catastrophe, she believes a thorough investigation should be carried out.

The BSP is running in Punjab’s next assembly elections in partnership with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). The BSP will run candidates for 20 seats, while the SAD will run for 97.
