Date:

Gwalior (MP): The police in Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh have registered a first information (FIR) against an unidentified thief who has been stealing women’s undergarments. He neither touches jewellery nor cash. He barges into a house and makes off with women’s underwear. Although the man has been doing it for several days, a complaint was lodged against him when a resident of Ghausipura locality, Bhagat Kori, caught this mentally sick man on CCTV camera. The CCTV footage and various other evidence confirmed that the man was involved in this silly act. The police are searching for him.

The man has a modus operandi of doing this. According to media reports, he climbs up the roof with the help of pipes and steals the underwear hung on ropes.

According to police station in charge Deepak Yadav, the suspect is likely from the same locality.

There is a difference of opinion on stealing women’s undergarments. A few residents in the area said that he had stolen underwear, because money is sometimes kept there. A few others, however, said that a man would not make off with women’s innerwear only because of money. According to them, the man is mentally disturbed.
