NationalMamata Banerjee Calls Bhabanipur Result ‘Stolen’, Alleges Irregularities in Counting

Date:

Mamata Banerjee has raised serious allegations over the Bhabanipur election result, calling it “stolen” and an “unethical dirty game”.

In a phone conversation shared by Kalyan Banerjee, the outgoing Chief Minister claimed that she was leading against BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari until the 16th round of counting.

She alleged that the situation changed in the final rounds, where she claimed the election process was affected by irregularities.

According to Mamata Banerjee, some people entered the counting centres and created pressure on officials and agents. She also claimed that her party’s counting agents were removed and replaced by others.

She further accused the Election Commission of India, CRPF, and local officials of acting under instructions to favour the BJP.

Mamata Banerjee said that during the last rounds of counting, her party had no representatives inside the counting hall. She also claimed that EVM machines were moved without proper sealing and that there was a lack of transparency.

Describing the situation as “torture,” she said that voters were first removed and then votes were taken unfairly during confusion inside the counting centres.

She added that the result should not be seen as a BJP victory, but as an unfair outcome. She also said that all evidence has been recorded and the matter will be challenged legally.

Kalyan Banerjee, who is also a senior lawyer, is reviewing the details of the case.
