Kanpur: The Uttar Pradesh government has taken stern action in the Kanpur shelter home case and suspended probation officer Ajit Kumar. 57 minor girls living in the shelter home were found infected with Covid-19. Along with this, the superintendent of Shelter Home has also been suspended.
The UP government believes that Ajit Kumar failed to discharge his duties and was not able to properly counter the misinformation being spread on social media. After this, the government has taken action against him.
Apart from this, while taking action on the officer, not following the guidelines issued for the prevention of corona virus in the shelter home has also been cited as the reason for the action.
