New Delhi: A 35-year-old farmer hanged on Thursday in Chhatarpur in Madhya Pradesh. He used to run a flour mill (aata chakki) and was unable to pay the electricity bill of 88 thousand. A few days ago, the department seized his chakki , motor and bike. Feeling humiliated, the farmer committed suicide. A suicide note has been found, in which he wrote that handing over my body to the government, who would sell the organs and pay 88 thousand.
This incident is from the town of Mataguvan in the district. The body of Muninder Rajput, who runs a aata chakki, was found hanging from a mango tree in the field. The employees of the electricity department arrived at his house on Monday to recover the bill. On attachment of non-payment of debt, he took action.
Police found a 3-page suicide note on the spot. In this, Munendra wrote, ‘The bill could not be paid due to the work being stopped in lockdown, the death of one buffalo by the current, the theft of three buffalo and not even earning income from farming. Repay debt by selling body parts. ’
Muninder’s brother Lokendra told that the brother had told the electricity department team not to confiscate the goods. Now I deposit 10-15 thousand rupees, I will deposit the rest of the crop when it arrives, but the team did not listen. Seized the goods and forcibly signed Munendra. This shocked him.
