Booking of special trains resumed on IRCTC website
New Delhi: IRCTC started booking on its website for special trains running from 12 May onwards, after 6 pm on Monday and all tickets of AC-1 and AC-3 of Howrah-New Delhi route train within 10 minutes. Sold out Booking of the ticket was earlier scheduled to start at 4 pm but was delayed due to some technical problem. IRCTC informed that booking will start from 6 pm.
The Howrah-New Delhi train is scheduled to leave from Howrah on Tuesday at 5.05 minutes. On checking the ticket availability on the website, it was found that tickets for AC-1 and AC-3 of Bhubaneswar-New Delhi special train were also sold till 6:30 PM. Indian Railways is starting passenger train services in a phased manner from May 12 to initially run 15 pairs of trains (30 trains including up-and-down) on select routes.
Special trains will run from New Delhi Railway Station and will go to Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad and Jammu-Tawi.
On the delay in booking, IRCTC tweeted at around 5 pm, giving clarification, “Special trains (data) are being uploaded. Booking will start soon. “Earlier sources said,” The website is not crashed, but the data is being uploaded. “He requested the passengers to wait.
