Bhopal: Five persons, including the son of a BJP leader, drowned at Jabalpur and Hards districts of Madhya Pradesh.
Three boys, aged 14-15 years, tried to play in the water of Ajnal river in Harda district. In the process, they drowned.
On getting information, the police rushed to the spot and fished out the bodies from the river and handed them over to their family members.
The boys were identified as sonu Baghel, Tilak Chaure and Mohit Bamne.
In another incident at Jabalpur, 23-year-old Atul Patel, the son of former rural president of the BJP Shiv Patel, went to Tilwara Ghat to take a bath in the Narmada river with his friends.
Tilwara is 12km from the district headquarters. According to reports, when Patel saw his friend Anurag Lodhi drowning, he tried to save him. In the process, both of them died.
