Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that farmers are the priority of the state government. The state government is making serious efforts for the welfare of farmers under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the farmers will get the benefit of the agricultural laws implemented by the central government under the leadership of the Prime Minister. Agricultural laws have been enacted with the objective of doubling the income of farmers. This will increase the income of farmers continuously.
The Chief Minister was meeting a delegation of farmers of western Uttar Pradesh at his government residence here today. He said that the Prime Minister has always formulated policies keeping farmers in mind. The state government is implementing the programs and schemes related to the interests of the farmers very seriously. It is a result of this that under the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, Uttar Pradesh has been awarded the first prize for the best performance in the country.
The members of the delegation said that the agricultural laws implemented by the central government are farmer friendly. These laws are an attempt to empower the farmers. Small and marginal farmers will get the most benefit of these laws. That is why they support these laws.
The farmers included in the delegation said that the Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme, Prime Minister’s Agricultural Irrigation Scheme, etc. schemes have been implemented by the Prime Minister, including the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi. To give the farmers a reasonable price for the crop, the MSP was fixed at one and a half times the cost. A large number of farmers are benefiting from effective procurement under MSP in the state. Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the state government is working for the interests of farmers with full commitment. Due to the efforts of the Central and State Government, there has been a big change in the lives of farmers.
