Chandigarh: While Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Harsimrat Kaur Badal resigned from the Union Cabinet in protest against three agriculture-related bills, farmers have started protests against these bills. Their anger is constantly increasing and they are taking to the streets. Meanwhile, a farmer protesting in the village of former Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal in Muktsar, Punjab, consumed poison, which has caused a stir.

According to the information received, a farmer named Pritam Singh was sitting on a dharna outside Badal’s house to protest against the bills. Meanwhile, he ate poison on Friday morning at around 6:30. He hails from Akali village in Mansa. His poison was stirred up and he was admitted to the nearest hospital with immediate effect, after which he was referred to Max Hospital, Bathinda. It is being told that his condition remains critical.
