Lucknow: After the killing of gangster Vikas Dubey in Kanpur encounter, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is now investigating his property. The ED has started an investigation into all black earnings of Vikas Dubey. For this, the ED has sought a list and information of Vikas Dubey’s property from the Uttar Pradesh Police. Apart from this, the ED has also sought a report from the police about Vikas Dubey’s family, his gang members, his associates and all his criminal activities. The ED has also sought complete information from police about the criminal cases of Vikas Dubey in recent years.
Vikas Dubey was killed in an encounter with STF at Sachhendi police station area near Kanpur on Friday (10 July 2020). He was absconding since the Kanpur shootout and was caught on July 9 in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
According to local media reports, there are two big houses in Lucknow by the name of Vikas Dubey. One of which costs 20 crores rupees. It is being told that with the help of Vikas Dubey’s financer and most trusted person Jai Bajpayee, the gangster has also invested his black money in Dubai and Thailand. Richa Dubey, wife of Vikas Dubey, also has crores of property. One of Vikas’s sons studies abroad.
The Times of India quoted sources as saying, Gangster Vikas Dubey used to use 11 houses and 16 flats alone in UP. An UP Police official told TOI that Vikas Dubey is likely to have assets abroad as well as visiting 14 countries in the last three years. Vikas has a bungalow of 23 crores in Aryanagar, Lucknow.
Richa Dubey, wife of Vikas Dubey, has also been questioned in detail by the police about the business and property of the gangster.
