Bhopal: Minor girl has been saved from committing suicide in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, official sources said on Saturday. This could happen because of the alertness of the state cyber police and local cops. Before trying to end her life, the girl had uploaded two videos on Instagram. Immediately after that, the state cyber police got an alert message from the Instagram office in the United States.
According to superintendent of police, state cyber department, Vaibhav Shrivastava, they received an alert from Instagram that one of their users from had suffered some injuries on November 3 around 5pm. The Instagram office in the US sent some information through mail, which the state cyber cell analysed and located the spot so that the police could reach the girl, Shrivastava said.
The police came to know that the girl was a resident of Satna district in Madhya Pradesh, and the district police were informed accordingly, the official said, adding that the life of the girl was saved.
Two video clips uploaded by the girl indicated that there was a packet of poison near her and she was behaving as if she were drunk, and the second one showed that she seemed to have cut a vein, Shrivastava said.
